We’re excited to announce the release of Formula 5.4, bringing a wide range of new features and improvements designed to enhance performance, usability, and flexibility.
- Improved Formulation Page
We’ve dedicated significant effort to optimizing the Formulation page. As a result, actions now execute faster, providing a smoother overall experience.
Navigation has been reworked to better support keyboard-driven workflows. The new context menu can now be opened from any row, and numerous keyboard shortcuts have been introduced to give quicker access to key actions. You can also insert rows before or after the selected one using simple shortcuts.
Tool popups are now fully integrated within the Formulation tab and can be freely moved around. This makes it easier to keep important data visible while using tools. In addition, the tools themselves have been improved. Notably, the new Raw Material / Formulation Comments popup allows you to quickly add ingredients or comments using filters and the Inspector.
Managing ingredients is now more efficient, with the ability to move multiple items at once.
Finally, two new tabs—Selection and Spreading—have been added below the ingredient table. The Selection tab provides calculations based on selected ingredients, while the Spreading tab allows you to input and manage spreading data.
- Admin Roles for Users
This new feature enables administrators to assign specific roles and permissions to users. The available options are extensive, ranging from allowing users to create Raw Materials to managing Formulation comments.
These new controls provide greater flexibility for laboratory teams, helping them stay organized, improve efficiency, and reduce the risk of unintended actions.
- New Excel Templates
You can now generate customized Excel templates that include your company logo and selected data. This feature is particularly useful for sharing starting formulations with clients.
Additional data fields—such as formulation guidelines or highlighted Raw Materials—can also be included in these templates to better tailor the output to your needs.
- Redesigned Compare Formulas Tool
The Compare Formulas tool has been completely redesigned to deliver a more comprehensive and user-friendly experience.
It now provides an extensive comparison of data between formulations, including pricing and composition. You can also compare physical and chemical properties such as pH or gloss.
New filtering options allow you to choose exactly what to compare, and the results table can be easily copied, pasted, or exported to Excel.
